Tell us a little bit about your company and its foundation.
Element 360 Design is a full service residential and commercial interior design firm backed with over twenty years of experience. We have completed projects both in and out of Oklahoma to meet our clients’ needs.
In your opinion, what are three qualities that every interior designer should possess?
When searching for an interior designer, look for the following qualities: integrity, great communication skills and a positive attitude. Yet, creativity should drive them in everything they do. Upon the initial meeting ask the the following questions: What is your design experience? How long have you worked in the field? How do you charge for your services? Do I purchase furniture through you? How do you present the design options to us? How do we get started and what is the initial cost?
As an interior designer, how do you make sure you’re understanding of what your client wants?
An interior designer will want to ascertain your unique perspective as well. Be prepared to discuss your wants, needs and final design goal. They will also want to know the design aesthetic that caught your eye, colors you like, and emotions or look you want to exude. Functionality and comfort are very important, so how you want to live and work will help drive the design. Details make the final design harmonious and unique for each client.
Is there any legalities that homeowners should be aware of before working with an interior designer?
Here at Element 360 Design, we sign a contract or letter of agreement stating all the services we will provide prior to beginning our working relationship. This contract or letter of agreement outlines what you can expect from your designer; from timelines, to how you will be billed and what drawings you will receive.
What are some minor building renovations that can really improve the appearance of my home?
Once you hire a professional, here are some easy, budget-friendly renovation ideas. For example, painting your home is the most efficient way to change the look that is low cost with high impact. A few more minor changes that can really improve a home are updating light fixtures, kitchen cabinet hardware and changing out wallpaper.
